Goliath tackles the contemporary issue of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
This film focuses on glyphosate, a pesticide adopted for agricultural weed control.
Its herbicidal effectiveness was discovered by Monsanto chemist John E . Franz in 1970,
Monsanto then brought it to the market for agricultural use in 1974 under the famous trade name ‘Roundup’.
Its cancerous status is highly debated, this film explores the subject from the point of view of a Parisian lawyer, farmers, and a large pharmaceutical company.
