Cathlin Barrett

Bonjour ! I’m Cathlin, a NAATI* accredited French-English translator and French language teacher. I obtained a graduate diploma in translating and interpreting in 2022, expanding my language services expertise to include professional translation services. With a deep love of the French language and culture, I began my French learning journey at the age of 12, and I’ve since honed my skills through years of study, practice and living in French-speaking countries.

I understand the importance of language learning in a globalised world. Although my husband and I are both native English speakers, we decided to raise our sons to be bilingual in French and English. Of all my students, my kids are the ones of whom I’m most proud!

After starting my career in health & beauty PR, I began working in the language services industry in 2003 as an English and French teacher, before moving on to business development for a boutique French language school. My experience in this industry includes project management, marketing/communications and website content writing.
